Daily/Weekly Information

What is the school schedule?

Arrival time for school is at 7:50 am. Dismissal is at 2:30 pm.

The Before School Program begins at 7:00 AM. The After School program runs until 5:30 PM. All students are eligible to utilize these programs as needed or requested. An hourly fee is charged for these programs. Sign up forms are sent out on a weekly basis as part of the newsletter and can be found on the forms page

Is a school lunch offered?

Each day of the week, there is a hot lunch option. Lunch voucher books can be purchased at any time. Students turn in a voucher if they wish to purchase lunch on any particular day. IOU vouchers are also available if a student forgets a lunch or their voucher and must be repaid in a timely fashion.

Are busses available to and from school?

Yes. The Worcester Public School Department provides school bus routes for students at Our Lady of the Angels School who reside in the City of Worcester.  Requests for stops are made directly through the WPS Transportation Department.

Do students attend mass?

Yes. Students attend mass on holy days of obligation. In addition to this, grades 4 & up attend one scheduled mass per month. Special Prayer Services are also celebrated and attended by all students throughout the year to mark holidays and special occasions. As a school community, we pray the rosary together once per month, as well.

Specials and Extra Curriculars

What classes does my student have aside from English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Religion?

Music, Art, Library, Computers, Spanish, and Physical Education are provided. Student schedules of these classes vary based on their grade level.

What is the Buddy Program?

The school has a buddy system in which Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students are assigned “buddies” from Grades 6, 7, & 8, respectively. The buddy program allows our upper grades to mentor and guide the newest and youngest members of our community to aid in their transition to school. The buddies usually attend Mass with the students, share cards and small art projects during holidays, etc…

What is offered after school for activities?

We offer intramural and league basketball. School band, piano, and violin lessons are offered at a cost for Grades 1 through 8.

Lego Club is offered in multiple sessions throughout the year.

STEM Class is offered for lower grades in the Fall and Winter, and for older grades in the spring.
A National Junior High Honor Society Chapter is established at the school for Grades 7 and 8. The NJHS also offers weekly tutoring sessions to other students in the school.
